The real Spyridoula Magoula started the group Archaeolife: Archaeology & Art, which I have been following for many years. She began it in 2014 when she was studying archaeology, art and the preservation of antiquities at Cyprus, Greece. The group explores archaeology, history and art as they apply in the contemporary world and posts news about excavations, conferences, jobs, inspirational comics strips influenced by antiquity well as visits by Spyridoula, her colleague Elektra Mikaela Slotø, and other friends of the site to archaeological sites and museums. Spyridoula has wide-ranging training including in artifact preservation, archaeology and digital culture and she has worked in laboratories including Malcolm H. Wiener Laboratory, ASCSA and STARC - Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center of The Cyprus Institute and as a conservator specialising in ceramic findings and osteological material. Her archaeological fieldwork has included the Faliro Project – Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Asteria Glyfada’s, Migdalia Patron, Ministry of Culture, Greece. Spyridoula is currently working on an android application for an archaeological site in Kythera, Greece, and her work ties together archaeology and an understanding of the past with the latest technological and scientific advancements.
